My name is Rob Bonstin, a voice teacher and coach with over 40 years of experience in the vocal arts. I have had the privilege of training with esteemed voice teachers in the San Francisco Bay Area, including Judy Davis and Claudine Spindt, who have mentored me alongside legendary performers such as Barbra Streisand and Sammy Hagar.

My musical journey commenced during my childhood, surrounded by the harmonious melodies of my family’s LP records. As I matured, I developed an insatiable passion for collecting these vinyl treasures. Through repeated listening, I cultivated a deep understanding of the lyrics, eventually transitioning into vocal performances. My enthusiasm led me to join rock bands with my friends, where I honed my skills and showcased my abilities in local theater productions and school musicals.

My professional career in music unfolded over the years, as I actively participated in various rock bands. Along the way, I acquired proficiency in keyboards and guitar. For my vocal endeavors, I sought guidance from renowned voice instructors in the Bay Area. Additionally, I supplemented my training with piano lessons, receiving valuable insights from my friends who taught me guitar.

Initially, I provided voice lessons to my bandmates to ensure their proficiency in singing and harmonizing with me. Subsequently, I transitioned into private voice lessons, catering to a diverse clientele.

Throughout my musical journey, I have maintained a commitment to continuous learning and professional development. I remain dedicated to studying the intricacies of the voice and exploring effective techniques to enhance the singing abilities of my students. My primary objective is to empower singers to safeguard their vocal health and ensure their continued enjoyment of music.
